How to Change Your Profile Picture on Reddit

To change your profile picture, follow the following steps:

1: go to Reddit and click on the circle with your current profile picture on the top-right corner to open your profile menu.

2: on the profile menu, you'll see the options like "View Profile" and "Edit Avatar." To edit your avatar, you need to click on "View Profile" then click on your avatar in your profile to go to your profile settings page. Alternatively, you can click on the option "Settings" in the profile menu, then select the "Profile" tab.. Or you can visit the URL below directly:

3: on the profile settings page, click on the option "Avatar: Edit your avatar or upload an image."

4: a dialog box will appear with the options "Select avatar" and "Select a new image." To select an avatar from your computer, click on "Select a new image."

5: click Save. Your avatar image will have changed.

Observation: if you upload an unsupported image format, like .ico, Reddit will silently fail.
