What is a Screenshot?
A screenshot, also called a screencap or screen capture, is an image created from what is being displayed on the screen of a computer. Screenshots aren't taken with cameras—those are photos—screenshots are taken with a program that captures what is being displayed. A screenshot may include the entire screen, multiple screens, or only part of a screen, e.g. a screenshot of a window or graphical interface element.
