For a long time, I have come across people on the internet asking questions I could answer. I liked explaining things to people, and there's a lot I could explain about, but I felt limited by traditional post formats of forums and social media.
For every concept you can explain, there's another 10 related concepts that may need to be explained, or may not depending on what that person knows. If you try to explain everything you would need an entire book, but if you don't, they may not understand what you were supposed to be explaining them. This would make me very sad because I want to help people, but I don't want to help them so much I'd write an entire book for them for free.
Thankfully, there is a solution to this problem!
It's called a hyperlink. Instead of writing one huge post and then trying to guess the scope of what I should write about, I can just write several small posts about each little thing and link them together. This solves everything!
Only one tiny problem: managing a huge collection of posts on someone else's forum or in a social media platform would be extremely difficult and inconvenient. If it was my own website, created solely for this purpose, it would be far easier. Unfortunately, I don't have a website, so there's nothing I can do about it.
And that's why I decided to make a website. Now I can organize all my thoughts and link them together, and, perhaps, help someone out there who wants to know something.
