What is Alchemy?
Alchemy is a free desktop application for sketching and drawing, specially for experimental black and white artwork. Its website is still online as of writing (al.chemy.org), but the download links no longer work. Its source code is archived on Github (github.com/karldd/Alchemy), but no longer maintained, i.e. it's officially abandonware. A project inspired by it called Webchemy (webchemy.org) exists, but it's a web app.
The project's repository says it requires Java Runtime Environment version 1.5. Considering it's not even Java 8, and we're on version 22 now, it's really, really abandoned.
I think when it was made it was one of the few drawing applications that had symmetry functions.
