The only way to change your username on Reddit is to create a new account, and perhaps delete the old account with the unwanted username. It's also possible to change your display name through Settings, but that doesn't change the username that is part of the URL of your profile page.
When you create an account on Reddit, it specifically says that you won't be able to change it later.
Reddit's official help site also confirms this, noting that you're allowed to create as many accounts as you'd like:
[...] once a username is finalized, it can’t be changed in any way, including its capitalization.
[...] if you delete your account, your username will not become available again and will be unusable.

[...] You’re more than welcome to create multiple accounts as long as you don't use any of your accounts to vote on the same posts (this is considered vote manipulation and is against the rules) or break any of the other rules in Reddit's Content Policy.
