What is Lichess?
Lichess [lichess.org] is a free online chess website where you can play chess online against anyone in the entire world, either by creating a match and inviting them with a link, or by creating an account and finding someone to play against via ranked ELO matchmaking.
Lichess also provides many other features. If you don't know how to play chess, lichess has an online guide that teaches you chess interactively so you can learn by playing. There are chess puzzles based on real matches. And you also have the ability to watch other players playing chess in real time.
